Not sure on how to set up a Central Protection Unit?

Central Protection Unit Setup

As mentioned in an earlier article the standard for commercial solar systems has changed. There is a requirement as part of AS4777.1 (3.4.4) to have Central Protection Units on all commercial systems over 30 kVA. If you are unfamiliar with how to work with these units and their requirements within the network here are some of the things that we do to help.

Stage one

At this stage, you will need to provide engineering documentation to get the Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) approval. We can help you with your application.

Once approved you will need to submit your application to the local DNSP. This is all tricky and time-consuming, especially if you are new to this standard.

We can help you with the following:

  • System drawings
  • Engineering documentation
  • Help with the local DNSP provider

How we help

We have been doing this for years. We build the units ourselves and design them, so they are easy to use. We understand what it takes to get these units approved and in place, so we have designed our units for the installer.  In addition, we provide support for the Installers – any problems and you just give us a call.
